Sliding Doors…

Sadly, my time at Pear Tree Recruitment is coming to end but what an amazing 2 and a half years I have had and it is the start of something new and exciting for all of us!

I have learnt so much from all of the team here and have grown so much. My view on the world of recruitment has completely changed and I have such a great respect for all of the hard work and genuineness that the consultants here have – they are definitely the people you want on your side when you’re looking for a job!

The team have helped me to get out of my comfort zone and I am so much more confident from attending networking events, charity events and chatting to new people every day.

There are so many highlights from working with such a great team and I have achieved so much in my time here so I will forever be grateful for Gemma and Jo for seeing potential in me and offering me my first ‘proper’ job! I’ve loved every minute of my time here!

The team have had lots of successes in my time here including recently hosting a charity quiz for Jessie May which raised £800, being nominated for an award and continuing to grow the team!

It’s going to be strange not seeing these guys every day, but I feel as though I am passing my ‘baby’ over to capable hands.

Welcome to the team Megan…!

Introduce yourself

Hi, I’m Megan, and I’ll be taking over as the Social Media and Marketing Assistant. I’ve just recently moved to Bristol after finishing university in Northampton, and I am so excited to be part of the team at Pear Tree Recruitment!

What have you learnt so far in your first week?

I’ve learned so much in my first week! Maddie has been amazing showing me the ropes of everything to do with Pear Tree Recruitment, from creating content, to posting on social media, and even where to find the tea and coffee! It’s been a great week to see what makes Pear Tree Recruitment tick.

What are you most looking forward to about working at PTR and handling the social media?

I’m looking forward to the variety that will come with working at PTR, and I’m excited to learn more about the different aspects of the company. I am looking forward to growing our brand presence online and interacting with our followers and fellow businesses on all our social media platforms. I am also excited to let my creative side out with our social media content- keep an eye out for future posts!

If you were to offer someone a piece of advice on applying for a job, what would you say to them?

Don’t give up! Do your best in every step of the process from the job application to the interview and it will definitely pay off!

The one motto you live your life by:

“You won’t know unless you try”- when presented with anything new always give it a try, whether it’s a job, event, food, activity, sport etc, just give it a try and you never know what it could lead to!
