Our client, a leading legal expenses insurance provider, is looking for someone with claims handling, case handling, or insurance experience to join their friendly team as a Senior Claims Handler.
You will be handling a variety of case types and providing a high-quality service to clients.

Duties of a Senior Claims Handler will include;
- Maintaining contact with clients throughout the process
- Assessing and processing all claims in line with procedures and authority limits
- Reviewing incoming instructions, identifying relevant issues, and assessing whether it’s a valid claim
- Assessing liability and quantum for each case
- Resolving claims through negotiation of settlement, rebuttal of claim, and/or declining of cover
- Updating the case management system to ensure records are accurate
- Working in partnership with law firms and other businesses/third parties
- Working effectively with a key stakeholders and reporting on progress of a claim
- Providing ongoing support to colleagues as required
Required skills and experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience (e.g. claims, legal, insurance)
- A qualification in a relevant subject is beneficial (e.g. law or insurance)
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, specifically MS Office
- Ability to manage own workload and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
