Our client, a large and well-respected healthcare provider based in Bristol, is looking for a Head of Security with credible experience and knowledge to manage the security of multiple sites and safety of staff and service users. Reporting to the General Manager of Facilities, the Security Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a safe and secure environment to allow the provision of world-class healthcare.

The role of Head of Security is incredibly varied, and the key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Managing the workload and performance of the Security Manager and Security Officers, and having oversight of all security contracts
- Providing security advice to the business, assuring the provision of an effective and high-quality security service for staff and service users
- Receiving and investigating incident reports to identify root causes, ensuring suitable remedial action is taken
- Enhancing and maintaining a governance and assurance framework, ensuring organisational compliance
- Assisting with the development and implementation of a clear security strategy for the business and for internal and external stakeholders
- Having budgetary responsibility and control for all areas of security including all pay, non-pay and contract related budgets
Due to the nature of this Head of Security role, the successful candidate should have:
- A proven track record in the operational management of in-house security teams and provision of suitable manning levels
- In depth knowledge and significant experience of security, criminal and civil related law enforcement ideally relating to the protection or people and property
- Excellent understanding of risk management as applied to health, safety and security, and clinical risk
