Our client, based in the heart of the City Centre, is looking for an experienced Business & Compliance Manager to join their Facilities & Estates division.  This is a brand new role and an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary senior management team.   

 
The Business & Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in setting strategic direction to improve the current level of statutory and internal Compliance within the division.  They will develop Performance management systems and reporting, linked closely to the management of divisional Risk and Health & Safety.   

The Business & Compliance Manager will be responsible for a team of 8 direct reports.

Duties to include; 

  • Providing regular business performance reports to the divisional Board 
  • Delivering expert advice relating to health & safety, risk and compliance assurance to the senior management  

  • Managing compliance and compiling action plans to improve and maintain these, addressing areas of non-compliance with mitigating actions and appropriate training 

  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting complex performance data for all services provided  

  • Developing and implementing a performance management system to ensure ongoing improvements in service delivery 

  • Managing and maintaining divisional risk, advising on the actions for recording, monitoring and escalating 

  • Overseeing the health & safety strategy for the division, developing and communicating policy standards  

  • Liaising with external bodies and specialist groups on health & safety issues, completing audits to ensure their compliance with relevant legislation 

  • Having budgetary responsibility and control for all areas of compliance and health & safety 

  • Providing business support services to the departments within the division and senior management team 

 

Due to the nature of this Business & Compliance Manager role, you should have demonstrable experience and skills in providing an objective approach to managing health & safety, risk, business performance and compliance assurance in a corporate environment.
